my sister is engaged =) im very happy for her and dave and i hope it all works out. i keep thinking about this one boyfriend she had that i got attached to. i was almost as sad as tara when they broke up. i look forward to getting to know dave better.

i watched a documentary my friend mike made of a trip he and nicole made to new york. first of all, he is an excellent filmmaker. also, i got to see my friends again! it was like i was there with them. almost anyway. theyre getting married also. hooray!

so yeah, dont know what else to say except im not getting married, i did work on my application to wycliffe bible translators for a good bit today.

longest week in my life

why is it taking so long to be the weekend? i even had off on monday. it might have something to do with my doctor and dentist appointments, tuesday and wednesday, respectively. thats right, i left work an hour early both days not to go home and relax, no! i had to get pricked by needles and have people's hands in my mouth and do a whole crapload of waiting. so i didnt even get home until late anyway. to top it off, i need to make up the missed time by staying an hour late today and friday. boo! it was really dark and foggy when i got home tonight.

its interesting what i hear around the office. i have no idea if any is true, seems unlikely. my one boss was saying the earthquake that caused the tsunamis moved the earth a few inches on its axis. and today i overheard that the tsunami has somehow altered our weather here- thats why its raining miserably and freakin 60 degrees in january!! i do wish i could go to indonesia and help. it depresses me thinking about all the deaths and kids there.

anyone know where i can buy a mosquito net? i guess mosquitos are huge and plentiful in honduras. ive never used a net to sleep in before, that'll be fun if it keeps bugs off. im a bug magnet. im like izma in the emperor's new groove when she's running around the jungle with a massive cloud of bugs around her head. i think its cuz im sweet, my name means 'honey bee' in greek. oh yeah i almost forgot, a lady from lithuania said my name means 'honey licker' in that language... even better.

yep, thats right. my laptop is no longer broken! hooray for dell and sending new harddrives overnight. if only i still had my millions of pictures from school =(

ive been have fun here the last week or so. ive had two great 4 day weekends (had to work tuesday, wednesday and thursday--boo). ive seen some flipping hilarious movies and played some good games and had the best food in the world. well, maybe not that last one because i havent been to any indian restaurants recently, but the turkey was pretty excellent. i will now recommend some movies. go see napoleon dynamite if you havent. i just saw it yesterday and want to see it again already. i havent laughed so hard in awhile. not since i saw shaolin soccer a couple weeks ago. so see that one too. and then tonite we saw shaun of the dead. ah, zombie movies are just fun. kinda like 28 days later but much less serious. those british people and their zombies.

happy new year all. its not very different than 2004 but maybe it will be better. im sort of resolving to not put things off as much. it always gets me into trouble and i am realizing that i will always be this way, with my faults and even when im older, if i dont make a conscious effort to change somethings. maybe just the smaller things for now.
