the wave of the future

so for once i am pretty darned envious of my parents and their advanced technology. normally my mother fills her computer full of so many programs and whatnot that it quits working prematurely. i cant stand using it for more than 5 seconds, not even to check my mail. but this computer is different, or it could just be that they havent had it long enough to bog it down.

anyway, we discovered today how one can watch cable tv on the computer, while still connected to the internet. not only this, but we can record tv programs and videos to dvd through the computer! this may not be new for any of you readers but i sure am impressed. ive heard of this but never dreamed that we would be in possession of such technology. so this neat toy is mine to play with because my parents cant figure it out for themselves! woo hoo! lucky me. now if i can get back into any of the tv programs i once watched... i find it hard to watch anything since ive gotten used to not watching tv at college. i had no time nor the resources to watch much of anything. hmm. cartoons are always good. i can get some good screen captures too. ah this will be delightful =)
