i know

its been too long to keep anyone's interest adn if you have all abandoned this, then thats ok with me. im tired lately and really needing a vacation from work. its kinda weird to be working every single day for more than a month when i havent done that in two years and had such a nice lazy break this summer. its still going ok though, the lady im replacing still hasnt come back even though im still staying when she does.

im going to honduras in january. i cant wait, i miss central america so much and spanish and the food and the weather. i am excited about seeing a new country too, after this i'll only be 3 countries short of seeing all of c.a.: belize, el salvador and untechnically mexico (ive been there but i dont remember it). its a two week mission trip with my church. amazing, i never thought my church would send anyone out but theyve been doing it every since i left for college - it figures. the reason it seems strange to me is that my church is very much populated by senior citizens (a couple of whom are coming on the trip) and, to me, has always seemed much too focused on itself (the weekly offering for building fund being many times that of the missions fund). anyway, im glad we are going.

ive been trying to cut back on fooling around time on the internet and with electronics in general to make time for important things i shoudl have been doing all along. after abstaining from the internet/games for a week i only proved it more to myself that i waste way too much time. when i finally allowed myself to use the computer again i saw the difference and problem more clearly.

about a week ago i got to see jars of clay, only a half hour from here. i didnt even find out about the concert until a few days before. it was great though, better than i thought. they're one of my favorite groups and im so glad i found out in time. ive been listening to all their cds since then and, for some songs, really listening to the lyrics for the first time. im glad ive stuck with them all these years, they just keep getting better and better.
