im back!

well, im not really that enthusiastic about it. i think i just had the best beach experience i can remember. it was wonderful mostly because of the weather. who's ever heard or south carolina (or anywhere in the east for that matter) not being humid in august? i loved it. i wanted to be outside. i swam. i sat on the balcony of our friends' 8th floor condo =) we had good food many times, and boy does swimming make me hungry.



i got to read a lot too, on the beach and the balcony. and this time it wasnt crappy fiction! it was one book about spiritual disciplines, some politics (gotta get knowlegeable what with the election coming up), and this encyclopedia of n. american wildlife. quite the variety but all interesting. i think it was nice to be away. it was nice to be around my whole family.

i need to write again once i get some more pics downloaded. we visited an awesome aquarium in myrtle beach and i need to share my amazement.

about these politics... at this point i cant say who i'd vote for. i need more info, but even then it will be hard. im not a fan of either candidate but im looking for the lesser evil. come on, bush just seems like a screw up to me. i cant vote for him just because he's a christian. that just seems wrong. like im not giving it enough thought or scrutiny. he oversimplifies the most complex of problems and i think its not entirely honest. thats a bad witness as a christian, a non-thinking person. and then there is super liberal kerry with his scary wife. who knows what he would do to our country. i hardly know a thing about him. it is gonna take a lot of work for me to figure this out for myself. haha. maybe my vote will even 'make a difference'. i was going through my mail and foudn a letter from our senator begging for money and saying that the pa election might turn out to be as close as florida in 2000!! oh joy.

ah. its good to be home. sleepin on my own bed. well, at least last night. now there's company. ive been doing things like playing that nintendo (yay!) and breaking light fixtures. im such a klutz. i thought'd i'd do dad a favor and change some light bulbs but instead i ended up vacuuming glass from our berber carpet while he pried the broken light bulb out of the fixture =( sigh. on a happier note i now own spirited away, a bday gift from my sis. i should watch that again. excellent movie.

i finally put a new pic on my profile but for some reason it isnt showing up at the top of the blog page, it is just when you click on the old one and go to the profile page. maybe someone could help with this...
